1. Who is responsible
The data controller for this site is eLand, Lda, Rua Carlos Charbel, 39A, Loja, Cacem, Portugal. Contact details and the request form are available on the Contact page.
2. Information you choose to provide
The contact form requests a name, email, topic, and message, confirmation that you are at least 18, and acknowledgment that you have read and understood the Terms and this policy. For online form submissions, we keep the acknowledgment and its version with the enquiry, along with the submission record.
We use those details to respond to and manage the enquiry. Our basis is our legitimate interest in handling correspondence or, where the enquiry concerns a requested service or contract, taking the relevant steps at your request. The checkbox is an acknowledgment, not a blanket marketing consent.
3. Information used by the site
The hosting service may process network and request information, such as IP addresses and request times, to deliver and secure the site. We use security and abuse-prevention measures to protect the contact form.
Career-tool answers and cost-calculator inputs are processed in your browser tab. They are not sent to us, stored permanently, or forwarded to a school. Do not enter health, patient, or identity data into free-text fields.
4. Cookies and local storage
We store your cookie choices in your browser for up to 180 days. This necessary storage contains the consent version, time, and category choices. It does not contain your contact details or tool inputs.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Your category preferences do not activate tracking. We will ask again if the services or purposes change.
You can reject optional categories, customize them, or withdraw your choices using in the footer. If browser storage is blocked, choices apply to the current page only and may be requested again.
5. Service providers and transfers
We use Netlify for website hosting. Online contact messages are processed and stored through Netlify Forms. If email notifications are enabled, a copy is forwarded to our contact mailbox. These services process the information needed to operate the site, prevent abuse, and handle your enquiry.
Processing may involve locations outside the European Economic Area. You can request information about the providers and applicable transfer safeguards through the Contact page. Provider reference: Netlify privacy information.
6. Retention
We keep contact information for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and review enquiries for deletion after 90 days. Correspondence necessary for an ongoing request, dispute, or legal obligation may be retained for the relevant period. Provider logs follow the configured service retention settings.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing. Make a request through the Contact page; we may ask for proportionate information to verify it.
You can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or another competent authority.
8. Marketing and school enquiries
Contacting us does not subscribe you to a newsletter or authorize sharing your details with schools. We do not sell your personal data or make automated admissions decisions. Any additional service would have its own information and separate choices.
9. Children and updates
The information on the site can be read without submitting details. Contact collection is intended for adults 18 and over. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, tell us through the Contact page. Material changes to this policy will update its version date.
