Your program’s policy comes first
The right admissions exam is the one your target program requires and accepts. Do not choose based on a general claim that one exam is easier, and do not assume scores from different assessments are interchangeable.
| What to check | ATI TEAS | HESI A2 |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | ATI Testing | Elsevier / HESI |
| Starting source | ATI’s current TEAS information and your school’s instructions. | The school’s HESI Admission Assessment instructions and Elsevier resources. |
| Requirement to confirm | Accepted testing arrangement, score policy, attempts, and deadline. | Exact assessment and components, booking process, score policy, and deadline. |
| Preparation choice | Match material to the required assessment and current version. | Confirm that materials address Admission Assessment, not another HESI exam. |
A useful message to admissions
“I am applying to [program] for [entry term]. Please confirm the required admissions exam, accepted testing arrangements, deadline, score policy, and how results should be submitted.”
If you are applying to several schools
Create a row for each program. Only combine exam plans when the institutions confirm the same assessment and conditions will satisfy both applications. Include booking fees and any additional score-reporting costs in your budget using the providers’ current information.
Before buying preparation
Check what your school already provides. Review free official information, then compare any paid resource’s coverage, length of access, renewal, and refund conditions. This guide does not rank products or claim to have tested them.
