Ask about activities, not only the delivery label
“Online” describes some part of teaching delivery. To decide whether a program fits, collect the locations and timing of labs, projects, placements, assessments and meetings for the exact pathway.
| Decision | Record or ask | Why it changes the next step |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Campus, placement area, community or employer setting | Travel and residence restrictions can change feasibility. |
| Who arranges it | School, student, employer or shared arrangement | An assumption about placement support can leave a serious gap. |
| When | Fixed days, blocks, deadlines or flexible work | Compare with actual work and family commitments. |
| What it costs | Travel, accommodation, checks and required materials | Separate confirmed costs from estimates. |
Ohio State’s RN-to-BSN page describes projects that can be completed in communities or organizations near the student, while its initial BSN page describes clinical locations. These are distinct program examples; neither establishes the arrangements at another school.
Illustrative example — not a verified program
An online brochure does not state who organizes a field activity. Keep the field unknown and ask for a written explanation of location approval, supervision, schedule and any costs. Do not label it “fully remote” from the brochure title.
Your output
Enter attendance details, sources and dates for each program. Add known travel costs to a scenario, then put fixed commitments into the weekly planner. Unconfirmed dates remain tasks, not calendar promises.
