There is no single admission checklist for every program
Collect requirements from the exact program’s current admissions page and confirm anything unclear with its admissions office. Prerequisites, grade thresholds, assessment requirements, and deadlines should never be assumed from another school’s policy.
Build a requirements sheet
| Category | Questions to resolve |
|---|---|
| Prior education | Which courses, grades, and institutions are accepted? Is there a recency rule? |
| Transcripts | Does the school require official transcripts, an evaluation, or translated records? |
| Assessment | Which exam and version are required? Which sections, dates, attempts, or score rules apply? |
| Selection | Are there interviews, references, essays, or separate applications? |
| Location | Does your residence affect admission or participation? |
| After acceptance | Which onboarding tasks and costs apply, and when are they due? |
Keep documents in the right place
Use the school’s official systems for transcripts, identity documents, and any health-related onboarding requirements. Do not upload them to an independent comparison site or include patient information in a question.
Separate two decisions
A school decides admission under its policy. A nursing regulator determines licensure under its rules. If something in your background could affect eligibility, seek an answer from the responsible body before investing in a program. This guide cannot determine that answer for you.
