The American Nurses Association has launched a new initiative to elevate members’ involvement in the legislative process and advance the profession’s policy priorities.

Through the Nurses Action Society, members will have access to educational content and training sessions regarding the ANA’s public policy priorities.

“Ambassadors will have the chance to represent the nursing profession in meetings with policymakers and healthcare stakeholders, fostering meaningful relationships to drive positive policy changes,” the ANA said in a Nov. 13 news release.

The ANA held a webinar Nov. 13 to introduce the Nurses Action Society, where health policy experts discussed nurses’ role in shaping healthcare legislation following the 2024 election cycle.
